There are 3 types of motors for e-bikes : front, middle and rear motors.
The front motor gives a somewhat sportier riding feeling.
The rear motor gives the cyclist a push, so to speak.
With the middle motor, which is used most often today, it is located lower and centrally on the bicycle. This gives a more stable and natural riding feeling. The bike's center of gravity is also slightly lower, which requires less balancing skills from the user.
